UN Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children

RELAF actively participated in the writing and advocacy stages for the adoption of the Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children in 2009 by the UN General Assembly. In order to contribute to their implementation in the region, RELAF produced, along with UNICEF, two friendly versions of the Guidelines: one aimed at children and one aimed at practitioners (both are available in Spanish, Portuguese, French and English). Both friendly versions turned out to be efficient working tools about the principles and orientations contained in the Guidelines.
