He's originally from Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, and resides in the city of Hermosillo. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Sonora, Hermosillo campus, and a Master's degree in Amparo Law from the Durango Santander University. He has also completed diplomas and specialized courses in Mediation, Rights of Children, Adolescents, and Family.
In terms of his professional career, he has held various positions in public service, including roles in the State Judicial Power of Sonora as an officer and secretary of agreements. In the State Public Administration, among other functions, he has served as the Attorney for the Protection of Children and Adolescents and Director General of the Integral Family Development System of the State of Sonora. He has been a panelist and lecturer on various topics related to childhood and family. Currently, he heads the Wenceslao Cota & Asociados law firm and works as a specialized consultant in family law, childhood and adolescent protection systems. He is also a founding partner and General Director of the Civil Association called INICIATIVA NNA.
