We are the expert organization in Latin America and the Caribbean in promoting policies and practices that guarantee the right to live in family and community for children and adolescents in the region. Our history consists of more than 10 years of experience in Latin America and the Caribbean promoting and supporting government entities to put into practice processes of deinstitutionalization and transformation of the alternative care system. Our actions have a direct impact on the protection of the rights of children and adolescents separated from their families or at risk of finding themselves in that situation.
GOALS
RELAF aims to promote and accompany policies for the deinstitutionalization and transformation of alternative care to guarantee compliance with the right to family and community coexistence for all children and adolescents in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Beneficiaries
Our recipients are adolescent boys, girls, families, communities, professionals, caregivers, field workers, institutional personnel, authorities and officials, policy makers, government entities, non-governmental organizations, and the general public.
